To assure optimal extraction of Skunk Cabbage's bioactive compounds, the rhizome (with its roots) is hand-harvested in late autumn or early spring, is carefully shade-dried to retain its full flavor & aroma, and is then thoroughly extracted. Our Skunk Cabbage is not fumigated or irradiated.
