Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus), also known as hou tou gu or yamabushitake, are large, white, shaggy mushrooms that resemble a lion's mane. For centuries they have been used in traditional Japanese herbalism by making into a tea and using as a "tonic." Lion's mane mushroom boosts nerve growth factor, helping with brain repair, maintenance, and regeneration. Enhances memory and concentration while also supporting cognitive function and the nervous system. Contains high levels of beta-glucans (25%+) known for their immune-supportive properties and antioxidants for increased vitality. Lion's mane has a mild, sweet, savory, licorice-like flavor.
