Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) have been used for over a thousand years in China and Tibet. They were once considered so valuable and rare that only the emperor of China could afford to use them. Today, thanks to innovative cultivation techniques, Cordyceps militaris are readily available. These mushrooms can be humanely cultivated (vegan substrate) and are much more affordable. Highly beneficial due to their high levels of beta-glucans (25%+) which help to support overall vitality. Cordyceps have been known to increase endurance, strength, and energy. Cordyceps have a savory umami, deep earthy-nutty flavor. Our pure, wood-grown cordyceps mushroom extract is made by hot water extraction using the fruiting body of the fungi. The powder can be added to smoothies, fresh juices, or teas.
