Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), thought to be one of the secrets of the brain-boosting effects of spinach, is a powerful antioxidant that works at the mitochondrial level. ALA has been shown to revitalize or recycle other neuro-protective, anti-oxidant agents, such as Vitamins C and E, and CoQ10.

ALA, when combined with Acetyl-l carnitine, as found in Procera AVH, has been shown to have remarkable synergistic effects in helping to slow down brain aging and helping to improve brain health and cognitive performance.

Curcumin (CUR), a bright orange-yellow polyphenol found in the spice turmeric, is a powerful inhibitor of a broad number of unhealthy inflammatory processes in the brain and body. It's a master broad spectrum anti-oxidant that uniquely activates so-called "detoxification enzymes." Its detox and neuro-protective properties are unique amongst all natural ingredients, and it can even help chelate heavy metals, such as lead and iron, helping to "sweep" them out of the brain.

MethylCobalamin (MCB) is a co-enzyem, methyl form of the more common Vitamin B-12 supplement known as cobalamin. Vitamin B12 is only found in adequate amounts in shell fish, beef and liver, and is required for proper neurological function. However, as we age our digestive system can lose its ability to extract adequate B-12 from our food. Low levels of Vitamin B-12 can lead to shrinkage of the brain and accelerated cognitive decline. There is increasing evidence that reveratrol exerts multifaceted anti-oxidant, neuro-protective effects in the brain. Importantly, resveratrol was reported to help slow aging and increase lifespan in simple organisms, and is considered one of the most significant anti-aging nutrient discoveries of all time. Resveratrol and Quercetin work together to potentiate each other's venefits.
