Description Ashitaba is a native to Hachijo Jima, a small volcanic island off the coast of Japan. Young Ashitaba leaves and stems, as well as the plant's roots, have been an integral part of the diet of the island's residents, who are known to have one of the longest life expectancies on the plant. These residents have referred to Ashitaba as the "longevity herb."

Our water soluble herbal extracts are best mixed in juice or a smoothie, although mixing in water is perfectly fine if you can tolerate the taste.
